Businesses spend millions creating a secure environment for their employees, facilities and assets. Before embarking on a Physical or IT security upgrade it is vital and cost effective to understand your business' security weaknesses. A Security Assessment will assist your organization in selecting and prioritizing security or procedural upgrade project.

VMSS assesses both IT and physical security of your organization. We accomplish the task by using the following process:
- A review of your organization's IT site security processes and related documentation in the following areas: physical security, emergency planning, disaster recovery, incident management, and information protection.
- An analysis of information gathered from interviews with key managers and process owners against corporate standards, Intergraph's internal standards, and industry best practices or standards.
- A report detailing observations and recommendations made during the site review.
A management presentation outlining identified strengths and weaknesses relating to site security processes and procedural compliance.

The assessment reviews and verifies that you have implemented:
- Procedures that secure your business environment for all persons working in your facilities.
- Contingency plans covering a variety of emergencies and to address the protection of people and assets.
- Procedures to report and analyze security incidents, bring them to successful conclusion, and to prevent reoccurrence.
- Effective management processes to protect proprietary information and assets from unauthorized disclosure, modification, or misappropriation.
- Processes to help management validate that the security controls
within the scope of this engagement are operating effectively.
